Accidents

Construction accident related injuries refer to injuries suffered while working on a building, bridge, or other construction site.

All employers are required to have Workman's Compensation Insurance to cover the medical expenses and lost wages of employees injured on the job.

Workers involved in construction projects are more likely to suffer serious on the job injuries because of the inherent danger of their work. As a result, certain states, in particular New York the skyscraper capital, have laws which assist injured construction workers to collect significant damage awards for pain and suffering above and beyond the bare bones coverage afforded by Workman's Compensation Insurance.

These are complex cases in which careful reading and application of specific
statutes, case law and OSHA safety regulations can result in very large awards.

Collecting evididence, pictures of the site and witness statements is imperative, and must be done without delay to preserve your rights and insure a successful lawsuit. The injured party is usually completely disabled and unable to assist in this task. It is therefore imperative that we be contacted immediately.

You should contact us before the injured worker leaves the hospital, and as soon after the accident as possible, to preserve evidence and to protect his rights.
